“Obey, Honor and Enjoy!”

Ephesians 6:1-3
I. Obey!
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” (v. 1)
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD
your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might…”
-Deuteronomy 6:4-9
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
-James 1:22
“Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.”
-Colossians 3:20
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will
be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive,
disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving,
slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous,
rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.”
-2 Timothy 3:1-4
II. Honor
“Honor your father and mother.” – which is the first commandment with a
promise. (v. 2)
III. Enjoy
“-so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on
the earth.” (v. 3)
