Pastor World Kim

A lot of people begin by meeting World and asking him about his name. This is entirely understandable as there are many people with the last name Kim so they are undoubtedly curious if he is related to someone they know.

World was born and raised in the DMV area, graduating from Liberty University before spending time in Kentucky to obtain his M.Div. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Biblical Studies, and has been involved in ministry since becoming a follower of Jesus in his freshman year at UMCP.

World loves serving in the church together with his wife Elizabeth as they are able to witness the powerful transforming Word of God profoundly change lives. As the Timothy pastor, World and his wife are passionate about the youth and want to see them rise up to become the next generation of Christ followers and world changers.

World loves making coffee and considers the day wasted if he hasn’t had at least two Diet Cokes. He also has two young boys, Simeon and Emmett, but he believes that is unrelated to his caffeine addiction.
