Sunhee Jung

English Congregation Elder

Sunhee was born in Seoul, Korea and came to the US at age 22. She graduated from Corcoran College of Art + Design and attained her Master of Fine Arts from American University. Sunhee is an active artist and have shown her work in several countries. She is also a college instructor teaching at the Anne Arundel Community College.

Sunhee got baptized at age 15 and church became her life. She’s been attending NCFC since 1995 and has been involved in various ministries including children’s and youth ministries as care provider and teacher. Sunhee was a reporter for Church Magazine for several years. She was a small group leader and Alpha class facilitator. Sunhee went on an Africa short-term Missions trip. She is currently involved in the Intercessory Prayer Ministry.

While on an Africa mission’s trip, she led a mural project at an orphanage in Swaziland and will be heading to the Life Impact International center to do the mural project in March 2023. She received her Deaconship in 2009. She believes God’s power resides in all of us and believes we should be grateful for our blessings and not dwell on our burdens. Sunhee is married to Po Jung, who is also an Elder of NCFC. They have 2 sons, Justin and Nicholas. She loves to travel, read books, and listen to music and cook.
